In the early 1970s, Nancy & Fred Elliott left their native North Shore, Massachusetts home, friends and family and settled in Franklin County, Vermont, nestled in the North Western corner of the Green Mountain State, deep in the heart of Vermont's Ski Country, ready for their next adventure.
They quickly immersed themselves into the rural community lifestyle and established themselves in the antiques business as active wholesale antiques dealers and Licensed, Bonded Auctioneers, holding licenses in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, conducting "on-site" personal property auctions for private individuals, local Estate Attorneys, public and private Institutions and commercial business liquidation's.
Nancy, a self-taught "heart healthy" gourmet cook with a passion for wholesome "home grown" food, established herself in her newly adopted hometown as a very competent chef, working in many of Northern Vermont's finest local restaurants and gourmet Country Inns as "Chef Nancy" for almost two decades, all the while maintaining her work with her husband Fred in the ever growing Antiques & Personal Property business.
After two decades of rural country living on their 50 acre "Mountain View Farm" in Vermont, they again decided that it was time for a change in latitudes to warmer climates and exciting, new challenges. A new adventure began in 1993 for Nancy and Fred Elliott with the move to Punta Gorda, Florida.
So, in January 1994, after visiting with friends who had made the move to SW Florida years before and had established a successful business, Nancy & Fred settled into Punta Gorda, located on beautiful Charlotte Harbor on the SW Gulf coast of Florida, where they established New England Antiques of Punta Gorda.
With the antiques business bringing Nancy & Fred into numerous homes on a weekly basis to purchase or, evaluate antiques and personal property, for Nancy, the daughter of a successful Massachusetts Real Estate Broker of 20 years, the decision to enter the field of Real Estate as a licensed Real Estate agent with an aggressive, local company was the next logical step.
Nancy is currently a member in Good Standing in the National Association of Realtors; the Florida Association of Realtors; the Punta Gorda / Port Charlotte Board of Realtors and is a member in Good Standing of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, is also a graduate of the Real Estate Institute, attaining the G.R.I designation.
